Poll results: Girls in m/m ballbusting stories

Poll results (version 4) - artwork by Champ
Last month I asked you to tell me your opinion about girls in m/m ballbusting stories. I know that's a, umm, let's say, controversial question, and my goal is not to get a definitive decision for all eternity. Whatever the results are, I won't suddenly turn this blog into a femdom fiction place, nor will I stop including women in my stories at all.

But before I go on with that let's look at the results. More than 500 votes were counted - thank you so much to everybody who voted!

There should be more of them. They can get in on the action.   26%
They can be present, but just as spectators.   17%
There shouldn’t be any girls present at all.   35%
Girls shouldn’t even be mentioned, neither by the narrator nor in direct speech.   22%

And here are the numbers again with the numbers from the 2008 and 2015 polls on the same question:

There should be more of them. They can get in on the action.   34% ➜ 32% ➜ 26%
They can be present, but just as spectators.   36% ➜ 19% ➜ 17%
There shouldn’t be any girls present at all.   14% ➜ 32% 35%
Girls shouldn’t even be mentioned, neither by the narrator nor in direct speech.   16% ➜ 17% ➜ 22%

The most obvious shift in opinion is happening "in the middle": In 2008 70% were okay with girls being present, in 2015 it was 51%, now it's down to 43%. The share of people who want to see f/m action has shrunk a little, and the share of people who are opposed to girls even being mentioned as gone up a little.

So what does that mean?

Even though the opinion has shifted slightly in the last ten years, I feel assured and encouraged that you (as a whole) share my views and want me to continue writing m/m ballbusting stories that include straight guys, which means that girls are mentioned frequently but not always, and that girls are present sometimes but not frequently. Some of you enjoy the rare occcasion when a girl gets into the action as well, but most of you don't.

Thank you very much for taking part in the poll! Your feedback is very helpful to me! :-))

Fun fact: The most popular story on this blog (which has been a constant presence in the top ten list of stories with the most pageviews per week for years now!) has two girls present who don't get in on the action... :-))

"Never Bet Your Balls" was how I discovered this blog, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

As for the poll results, I can't help but wonder if more stories with girls present or taking part would bring in more people like myself, who like to see girls busting balls. Sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy: the theme of the blog has always been m/m, so it has mostly drawn in readers that are interested in m/m, so the poll reflects that the majority aren't interested f/m.

Thanks for your comment, Chad! I guess you are right. The thing is that I don't feel the need to change the direction of this blog. I like it the way it is, and I'm very thankful for the readers that have found this blog in the past 10 years and stayed on because they like it.

This poll is really just a way to take the temperature of my existing readers, not to find a way to change the direction of the blog.

I'm trying out new things when I feel like it, and I enjoy writing a mixed bb story now and then. I've never written a purely f/m story, though, and I don't know if I ever will.

I appreciate people with an f/m preference coming here and enjoying some (if not all) of the stories. Everybody is welcome here, I hope that goes without saying. But this blog will always be about guys ballbusting guys.

That is not to say that I don't appreciate your opinion, by the way. I really do. I just don't want you to have expectations that I won't be able to meet... :-))

I have a quite peculiar vision on this matter. I like reading and writing stories with m/f sex, and the main characters in my stories are usually straight males. But ballbusting is just a guy thing to me. Only m/m. I wonder if other guys share my point of view.

Oh, I definitely get that - I didn't mean to suggest that you *should* change things, I guess I was mostly "thinking out loud", so to speak.
