Get Off My Lawn: Old Man Franklin Short Stories written by Jimmy

Get Off My Lawn: Old Man Franklin Short Stories

Written by Jimmy

Friday

Ever since poker night with the fathers in the neighborhood Old Man Franklin has been in a bad mood.

Most people know to stay clear of his lawn, it’s the neighborly thing to do. But ever since the contest has come up everyone has been eyeing Old Man Franklin’s yard and how to not let him win.

Old Man Franklin is retired, he cuts his lawn every other day. Water it almost incessantly. Even during the droughts. He orders some kind of special seeds from overseas and watches his lawn like a father would his newborn child. Franklin loves his grass, and no one…no one would mess it if he values their most vulnerable assets.

Recently Old Man Franklin got an upgrade to his watering hose. It’s lightweight, with an adjustable nozzle, and most importantly it can spray water faster in more powerful bursts.

He can’t wait to try it out on some poor schmuck that crosses his path.

Know When to Fold 'Em written by Jimmy

Know When to Fold ‘Em

“So you’re saying…that it’s Dad and Son gambling day?”

“That’s right,” Mr. Brady tells Sam Hell. “I have to be dealer. Bill is too young and…I don’t think you would be interested.”

Sam Hell raises his left eyebrow, knowing when someone is trying to bait him. “If you want me to go with you to this…poker night. You will have to ask.”

“You?” Mr. Brady appears appalled by the very idea, and grabs his shirt theatrically. “I couldn’t possibly ask you to put yourself on the line.”

“Mr. Brady…” Sam begins but Mr. Brady tuts and interrupts him patting his shoulder.

“Besides Gino and Logan will be there, classmates of yours and I know that could get awkward for you. I don’t think those two chums are friends.”

The Father's Bet written by Jimmy

The Father’s Bet

NoteThis could have been two parts, there was a perfect spot to make it into two stories as you will see later...but I like the idea of finishing a story in one post. Hope you all enjoy!

Warning: Includes ballbusting, older dudes, gay undertones, and all characters are 18+. You have been warned.

Bradley Kruger, Logan’s Dad is shuffling the cards at Gomez Family home preparing for the next round.

Around the table sits Marco Gomez, legs spread wide. Marco is dressed only in his skivvies. Gino and Jayden’s Dad is bare chested, and his big chest muscles, and large arms show off his buff Dad bod that he is always so proud to display. Unfortunately tonight, it was someone’s bright idea to play strip poker. Each time someone loses a piece of clothing they had to lose a garment, followed by a… low blow. The groin blow could be anything. No limit was put on this game. Marco seems nervous, and is biting his knuckle while he stares resolutely at his cards. The man seems to have no poker face.

Snapshot: The Paperboy Pursuit Conclusion written by Jimmy

Snapshot: The Paperboy Pursuit Conclusion

Ballbusting Boys: Rascals (Franklin meets Leo and Tristan) (A familiar character enters the Jaydenverse).

Warning: Includes ballbusting and underage characters.  You have been warned.

Jayden was finally on the move, and he pedals faster heading to the end of the new paperboys route, he tries to catch up to Bill before he ended his job.

So far, Bill has had the jump on him each time he went after him. This time, Jayden plans on catching him unaware and getting some good old fashioned revenge.

Turning down the next street Jayden can see that the neighborhoods are starting to wake up on the soon to be scorcher of a Sunday. Dads and sons are out mowing lawns, the swirling blade chopping grass leaving Jayden’s nostrils full of the strong new grass smell. Sprinklers are starting to turn on and Jayden feels a few drops hit him as he bikes past a condo building. And countless people have started to be up early to work in their gardens and flower beds in their front yards.

Along the way, Jayden passes out some of his papers and gets a few nods, and frequent “Good mornings!”

Jayden is used to this part and responds in kind, as he wipes some sweat from his brow missing his curls again that helped to block out the sun’s rays and to soak up the moisture.

Slowing to crawl, he turns the sun catches his muddy browns blinding him for a moment. Jayden is forced to squeeze his eyes almost shut to avoid the rays of sun as he approaches a set of new houses down an unfamiliar street he hears an older gentlemen yell out.

“Back again, I see!”
